Si ricorda che e’ necessario presentare sempre tutta la documentazione richiesta il giorno dell’appuntamento, compreso il pagamento delle relative tariffe consolari attraverso money order.

For certification of conformity of Italian-English or English-Italian translation, the original document must be presented together with the full translation.

The service can be requested:
- by sending an email to hartford.onorario@esteri.it and showing up personally on the day of the appointment with the required documentation.
- money order made payable to Consulate General of Italy for an amount equal to the consular fee art. 72A for the translation compliance certification from English to Italian and art. 72C for translation compliance certification from Italian to English.

Administrative signature authentication

After emailing , it is necessary to present yourself personally at the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Connecticut on the day of the appointment with:
- document containing the signature to be authenticated;
- valid identification document (passport or identity card).
  For the purposes of complete identification, it is always necessary to also verify the place of birth of the interested parties, therefore documents not reporting this indication must be integrated with any further element available capable of providing useful proof;
- money order made payable to Consulate General of Italy for an amount equal to the consular fee art. 24.
NB : Naturalization certificates cannot be considered valid for identification purposes.
For the purposes of identifying married women whose documents only show their married name, it will be necessary to present an additional document (e.g. marriage certificate) indicating their maiden name.

Passport copy authentication

After booking the appointment, it is necessary to present yourself personally at the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Hartford Connecticut on the day of the appointment with:
- Passport;
- Copy to be certified;
- Money order made out to Consulate General of Italy for an amount equal to the consular fee art. 71.
If it is impossible to reach the Honorary Consulate in person, it is possible to appoint a person you trust by means of a proxy on plain paper dated and signed.
For the authentication of a passport copy of minors under the age of 18, the presence of the minor is not necessary and the document can be presented by a parent.

Authentication of photography

After booking the appointment, it is necessary to present yourself personally at the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Hartford Connecticut with:
- valid identification document (Italian identity card or Italian passport);
- n. 2 identical and recent photographs, passport size (4x4cm, front, with white background);
- money order made out to Consulate General of Italy for an amount equal to the consular fee art. 66.
